In Copenhagen, AI MANAGE Brings AI Experts Together to Shape New Management Guidelines

Through the EU Project AI MANAGE CEC European Managers has assembled a high-level AI Panel.

A group of renowned Artificial Intelligence experts will gather for a two-day workshop on 14 and 15 September in Copenhagen. The workshop will take place at the Lederne Competence Centre, hosted by Lederne Denmark, a partner in the AI MANAGE project and member of the CEC Confederation.

The meeting marks a first important step in the development of AI MANAGE’s practical resources for managers and organisations across Europe, as the AI Panel will work collectively on the guidelines that will form the foundation of the project’s AI Management Toolbox, designed to support the responsible and transparent use of Artificial Intelligence in the workplace.

High-Level Expertise for Responsible AI Management

The AI Panel brings together experts with diverse knowledge and experience in Artificial Intelligence, technology, management and the future of work. Their role is to provide high-level expertise and perspectives that can help ensure that the project’s guidelines are practical, evidence-based and relevant across sectors and workplaces.

During the Copenhagen workshop, the experts will exchange views on key challenges and opportunities arising from the increasing use of AI and algorithmic management. Their discussions will contribute directly to the development of guidance aimed at helping managers navigate AI adoption while maintaining responsibility, transparency, trust and quality of work.

From Guidelines to Practical Tools

The work of the AI Panel will feed into the broader AI MANAGE project, which is developing Cross-Sector Guidelines, an AI Management Toolbox and dedicated training modules. The toolbox will translate the project’s principles and recommendations into practical resources that managers and organisations can use when introducing and managing AI in the workplace.

The Copenhagen workshop therefore represents a key milestone in turning the project’s research and expert knowledge into concrete guidance that can support managers across Europe.

AI MANAGE is a two-year European social partner project coordinated by CEC European Managers. The European Commission co-funds the project under the SOCPL-2025-SOC-DIALOG call.

AI Panel: Who is who

The AI MANAGE Project AI Panel brings together complementary expertise in AI, digital transformation, management, HR, social dialogue, research and accessibility, helping ensure that the project's guidelines are both forward-looking and practical.

Maxime Legrand, President of CEC European Managers, AI MANAGE project coordinator and Chair of CEC’s Working Group on Digitalisation and AI, brings a European management and social dialogue perspective, with a strong focus on responsible, human-centred AI at work.

Peter Van Hees contributes expertise in AI innovation and emerging technologies, including AI agents and their impact on organisations and the future of work. He is an Innovation Manager at KBC Bank & Verzekering.

Mads Juul Jørgensen, brings extensive HR and people leadership experience, supporting the project’s focus on capability development, leadership, and organisational transformation. He previously served as HR Director for Falck Denmark and was a member of Falck’s Global HR Leadership Team. He is currently a Senior HR Business Partner at DSB, where he is part of the CFO and HR leadership team.

Amaury Laurenson contributes expertise in digital transformation and innovation, helping translate AI opportunities and principles into practical organisational approaches. He is Associate and Digital Director at Experience Advisory, a Paris-based consultancy.

Pierrette Howayek brings a research perspective on AI, technological change, working conditions and social dialogue, strengthening the evidence base of the project. She is a researcher at IRES (Institut de recherches économiques et sociales) and ESSCA School of Management.

Nicola Caione contributes expertise in AI, digital accessibility and inclusion, ensuring that responsible AI management also considers accessibility and diverse users. He works at Banca d’Italia – Eurosistema, with expertise in AI and web accessibility.

Hanna Fagerlund brings expertise in data and AI strategy and responsible implementation, contributing to the Panel's understanding of AI readiness, reliability and organisational adoption. She is a Data & AI Strategist at Ledarna, the Swedish Leaders Association.

Together, the Panel's diverse expertise will help shape practical, evidence-based guidelines and the AI MANAGE Toolbox, supporting managers and organisations across Europe in navigating the opportunities and challenges of AI in the workplace.

In addition to the AI Panel, the AI MANAGE Steering Committee brings together senior representatives from across the European management and social-partner landscape, providing strategic guidance and ensuring that the project remains connected to the realities of managers, organisations and workplaces across Europe. Maxime Legrand, Torkild Justessen, Anders Koch Hess, Marielle Mangeon, Andreas Bücker, Frederikke Saabye, Audrey Gourraud and Olga Molina Tomey contribute complementary experience in European social dialogue, management representation, employment, digitalisation and stakeholder engagement, strengthening the project's cross-sectoral and European perspective.
